Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings cancelled within 48 hours are non-refundable, but you may reschedule if there’s availability.

2. If you cancel your booking at least seven days in advance, you are eligible for a partial refund of 50%.

3. Custom bookings arranged via email differ from online bookings. Deposits paid for custom bookings are non-refundable if the client or production changes their mind or cancels.

4. A £30 clean-up fee will be applied if the studio is left untidy (e.g., soiled or wet floors).

5. Do not remove items from the walls, such as mirrors, fixtures, or pictures. If assistance is needed, please ask a team member, and we’ll do our best to help.

6. Any damage to studio furniture, decor, or rented equipment by you or your team will incur a replacement cost.

7. Additional time may be booked on the day, based on availability, at an hourly rate of £60.

8. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booking time. Ensure that setup and pack-up time are included within your booking. Exceeding the booked time will incur an extra charge of £60 per hour.

9. Equipment rental payments can be made on the day via cash or bank transfer.

10. Blackout Studio is not responsible for any equipment that may be lost, stolen, or damaged during your booking.

11. The studio should be left in the condition it was found. Any damages will be invoiced to the booking party.

12. Smoking is not permitted inside or near any entrances/exits to the building.

13. Blackout Studio reserves the right to take and share behind-the-scenes photos or videos from shoots for promotional purposes.

14. Please be respectful to staff. Any abusive behaviour will result in immediate removal without a refund and a permanent ban from the studio.

15.Please be advised that the studio is not soundproof, and we cannot guarantee the absence of external sounds during your booking.

16. Blackout Studio strives to maintain a clean and professional environment for all our clients, especially those with allergies. To ensure this, we operate a strict no-animals policy. However, exceptions are made for animals specifically trained to assist individuals with disabilities, such as Guide dogs for visually impaired individuals.

  • Hearing dogs for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.

  • Mobility assistance dogs for those with physical disabilities.

  • Seizure alert or response dogs.

  • Mental health service animals (e.g., for PTSD or severe anxiety).

  • Medical alert dogs (e.g., for diabetes or allergy alerts).

Any approved animal brought into the studio must be pre-registered with us at the time of booking and remain under control at all times. To help us maintain the high standard of cleanliness our clients expect, a £50 cleaning fee will apply to all bookings involving animals, including approved assistance animals.
